One Month(ish) Later

After a month of trying my hardest to do every single thing that all those “how to self-publish” blogs tell you to do, I can honestly say that I feel like I’ve had embarrassingly little success for what all I did. I contacted bookstores. I purchased ads. I organized giveaways. I worked with book blogs and book facebook pages. In the end, I’ve sold embarrassingly few books and received absolutely zero reviews. It’s incredibly disheartening. I thought this was going to be a positive blog post, that it would be lighthearted and happy and maybe even inspiring to read. I’m sorry to say that it’s not. But maybe something can be learned from all the ways I failed.

So I Finally Wrote A Book

Writing is hard.  Writing a book is incredibly hard.  And going through the editing, the cover design, the self promotion, and all the other work that goes into actually publishing a book?  Sometimes it seems like a near impossible feat. I honestly have no clue how I managed it, but I did, and now one (1) whole childhood dream of mine has been made into a reality.
